Senior Scientist – AI/ML Genomics (Drug Discovery)
Cranmore is partnering with an innovative, venture-backed biotech platform at the forefront of AI-driven drug discovery. We are seeking a Senior Scientist with deep expertise in AI/ML and genomics to join a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team working on next-generation small molecule therapeutics.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of biology, data science, and machine learning, applying advanced AI techniques to accelerate drug discovery. You will play a key role in designing and deploying models that integrate complex biological and chemical data, working closely with cross-functional scientific teams to drive impactful research.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Developing and deploying machine learning and deep learning models for biomedical and drug discovery applications
* Working with multimodal *omics and clinical datasets to generate actionable insights
* Contributing to the design of novel cross-modality models and predictive frameworks
* Applying NLP techniques to extract insights from scientific literature
* Collaborating with computational scientists and domain experts to improve data quality and model performance
* Supporting broader R&D initiatives and scientific communication
What We’re Looking For
* PhD (or equivalent experience) in machine learning, bioinformatics, genomics, computer science, or a related field
* Strong experience in AI/ML applied to biomedical or life sciences data
* Hands-on expertise with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn
* Strong programming skills (Python preferred)
* Experience with multimodal data, LLMs, or graph-based approaches is highly desirable
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS) and scalable ML workflows
* A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
